Lisbon's gardens are one of the city's well kept secrets. Some of them are obvious visiting spots, others are just easy to miss, even if right in front of our eyes. Jardim Botênico Tropical is one of these cases, it lies in the heart of Belem, behind the world famous Pasteis de Belem pastry shop. This is a beautiful garden, with more than 500 different species, many of them coming from the former Portuguese colonies. It is just great for an afternoon walk, or a rest from a hard walking day :-) Go and give it a try!
