"i" is a reference daily newspaper, which published an interesting article some time ago, called "Alfama isn't just Fado anymore, 10 + 1 stops where to derrail" :-) What is suggested is that there is more than Fado in Alfama, and the article mentions some nice, trendy spots, urban, but well integrated with the district. Some of the places are the terraces at Portas do Sol, Santo António de Alfama and Supercalifragilistic restaurants, Cruzes Credo and Ferroviário bars. But of all places mentioned, my favourite is Bela, a super place with super atmosphere, and still a touch of ... Fado!
